Grief isn't just because of death

Grief comes in many forms, and although it can begin with a death, sometimes it is felt because we feel the loss from a different source.

Loving someone always comes at a price and usually at our expense. Often times love departs from us arbitrarily because of the sudden tragedy of death but also because the person we love has decided to take their love away for whatever the reason and sever all ties that bind.

When someone we love decides it is their time to leave the tragedy is felt as a deep loss and we begin the steps of the grieving process.

As hard as one tries, the love that is extinquished can never be found again and the only option is accept and move on. When this is discovered, there too lies the persistent grace in the form of forgiveness that we lend to one another and ourselves.
